This is a brand new kind of upholstery fabric: nylon tricot married to expanded vinyl. It’s 100% man-made, so it won’t pull or sag, or absorb dirt or spills, or lose its exciting texture or vibrant color. Even after years of use and abuse Concept will still have the richness of velvet – precisely because it isn’t velvet.

Nylon tricot, made from fabric of DuPont Antron® nylon, is knitted to Athol specifications. The elastic, synthetic fibers of nylon provide surface strength, softness, and brilliance. And they assure against fabric fatigue – the color won’t fade. The fibers just won’t tire out.

Expanded vinyl is the heavy duty part of Concept. The vinyl is expanded through a heating process to give the material temper without taking away its extraordinary strength. The unique way that the strength of the vinyl is married to the nylon is what makes Concept the breakthrough material that can take just about anything.

Furniture with Concept is always a showpiece. Of course, like all fine fabrics, Concept should be given regular cleaning with a vacuum or whisk broom to keep it dirt and dust free. To remove spills, wipe immediately with a damp sponge or cloth dipped in a solution of mild soap and water. For stubborn stains, spot clean with carbon tetrachloride or commercial spot remover. With this kind of treatment, it will be years before you really realize how remarkable Concept is.
